With the d.velop software manager tool, you can easily install server environments, update them, remove them again, or rollback to older versions of the software.
In addition, you can plan automatic updates.
In d.velop software manager, select the feed for the current version, the software components and the installation path.
Note We strongly recommend installing the software components on a separate partition and not installing them on the system partition. Many d.velop products use the default directory ..\d3. To install all the products in a central location, you can create the directory d3 on the desired partition and use it for the installation. |
Depending on the chosen installation type (central installation of all components on one server or distributed installation of the components on several servers), different installation types are available.
Central installation of all the components
If you want to install the components on one server only, we recommend the automatic installation.
Select the respective option for your d.velop documents edition (basic, business or ultimate). Selecting the individual components is no longer necessary. Make sure that the server has enough resources.
Manual installation of individual components
If you want to install components distributed across multiple servers, run d.velop software manager on each server and install the desired components. You can find out which components are included in your edition of d.velop documents here: Components included in the Annual feed
The infrastructure components include basic functions for operating d.velop software and must be installed on all the application servers on which you want to use d.velop software.
You can use the option Define as cluster node to install a reduced scope of functions for the infrastructure components. If required, activate the option only on additional function servers, and not on your primary application server.

Enable the Open configuration option. The first time that you open the configuration, you have to change the initial password for the administrative user. Use the user admin and the password admin.
