Installing d.3one

d.3one is a browser-based ECM software solution with a variety of integration options and potential enhancements. In terms of architecture, d.3one consists of various microservices that provide a number of different DMS functions.

You can find the installation file under Software in the d.velop service portal by searching for "d.3ecm - all in one". Download the ZIP file and unpack the file to obtain the setup files for d.3 core components and d.3one.

The d.3ecm all-in-one setup package gives you the required server modules that are compatible with the d.3one microservices. You can find a description of the installation and configuration steps for d.3one in the d.3one administration manual.

Note the following aspects during setup:

  • Ensure that you have installed the product infrastructure using d.velop software manager.
  • Download d.ecs pdf extension from the d.velop service portal. During the setup of d.ecs pdf extension, go to Product choice and choose the d.ecs pdf extension (Centralized installation) and Install advanced features options.
  • A self-signed certificate is generated during the installation. We recommend that you upload a separate certificate for production environments at a later point in time.

You can use the d.3one setup to install the following components:

  • DMS app: enables users to work with documents using the Storage, Search and Personal space features.
  • Image app: adds a zoom function and the display of multi-page documents to the document preview.
  • Inbox app: makes the Tasks and Messages feature available on the start page.
  • Repo app: establishes the connection between d.3one and a d.3 repository.
  • Process portal: makes the process portal available in d.3one and adds workflows to the context actions.
  • d.ecs identity tunnel: provides a “cookie-free” connection between the d.velop apps.
  • d.ecs file container: lets you combine multiple documents in one PDF file that serves as a container.
  • d.ecs pdf: enables the option for adding visual annotations and comments in PDF documents.
